Kalij Pheasants recorded per party hr on the Volcano Christmas Count, Hawai'i,

1972-2007 (see Count Page). The first record for the Volcano area was in 1977,

followed by an expansion phase through the 1990s and then a withdrawal in

abundance, as often happens with introduced birds in Hawaii.
