Northern Pintails recorded per party hr on the Honolulu Christmas Count, O'ahu,

1944-2014 (see Count Page). The drop in numbers since 1960 reflects, among other

things, the loss of wetland habitat in se. O'ahu, in particular, the draining of

Kaelepulu Pond in 1954. See also Northern Shoveler.
