the Honolulu Christmas
Count, 1944-2014 (see Count Page), indicating a decrease
from the 1940s, resulting primarily from the drainage of wetlands,
including Kaelepulu Pond in 1954
(see also Northern Pintail and Northern Shoveler),
followed by an increase during the 1990s through 2014.
