Banks of uluhe fern (Dicranopteris linearis ) below an overstory of koa (Acacia koa ) along the Schofield-Waikane Trail in the leeward Ko'olau mountains of O'ahu. The native damselfly Megalagrion oahuense breeds in the damp litter beneath such ferns.
