Family LIMNORHYPHIDAE

The family Limnorhyphidae was proposed by Hong (1983) for the single genus Limnorhyphus Hong from the Middle Jurassic Haifanggou deposits of Liaoning, China. Hong (1983) placed it near the Olbiogastridae [= Anisopodidae] based on the wing venation. The antennae and wing venation are similar to Scatopsidae and Anisopodidae.
