Family LUANPINGITIDAE



The family Luanpingitidae was proposed by Zhang (1986a) for the monobasic genus Luanpingites Zhang, 1986, known only from the Middle Jurassic deposits of Luanping China. The placement of the family follows Zhang (1986a) who considered it close to the Chironomidae.
