Status: Relatively uncommon

Distribution: O`ahu, Maui, Kaua`i, Big Island

Despite its appearance, this is not a deadly enemy. It has a painful sting, but it does not have a neurotoxin like some of its mainland cousins, so the sting is more like that of a bee. Still, it is wise to keep clear of it!

This normally shy creature is active at night and preys on insects, spiders, millipedes, and even small rodents.
