Distribution: All islands.
Also known as the neon wrasse, this colorful fish is relatively rare, but occurs throughout the islands at depths between 100 and 500 feet. It can reach a maximum length of about 7 inches and is known to feed on hermit crabs, sea urchins, and brittle stars.
