hr on the Honolulu Christmas Count (see Count Page) in 1944-2007, indicating a
slight but significant decline (as also recorded on the Waipi'o and Volcano Christmas Counts). The
peak of 489 recorded on the Honolulu count (cf. E 17:55, 56) may
have reflected an abundance of flowering ohia-lehua
trees within the circle that
