Homepage / Checklist of families
Boholdoyidae was proposed by Kovalev in Kalugina & Kovalev (1985)
for the single genus Boholdoya Kovalev. Later, Kovalev (1990) added
the genus Daiamyia Kovalev to the family. The family is known only
from three species from the Jurassic of Siberia.
Krivosheina & Zaitzev (1989) placed the family as the sister-group to
the Eopleciidae in the Anisopodomorpha in their cladogram of superfamilies
of Diptera.
