Family CHIMEROMYIIDAE
The Chimeromyiidae are an extinct family or eremoneuran
flies dating from disjunct populations (Lebanon, Spain, and Burma) all deriving
from the Lower Cretaceous. All specimens are known thus far from amber inclusions.
Eight species in two genera are known.
