The Interns, MISC staff and Bishop Museum staff lined up in the area to be inspected for Miconia. Seedlings and saplings located in the "Miconia hunt" are pulled up, roots and all, the dirt shaken free from the roots, then hung upside-down to prevent the plants from regrowing. Everyone walked in a line to consistently scour the area for any Miconia plants.
