Day one of the third week started off very wet, restricting the Bishop Museum staff and Conservation Interns to a morning of computer work, researching their plant species. The afternoon cleared for a period, allowing the interns to explore the flora at Wai‘ānapanapa State Park. The interns were able to identify several of their plant species along the trail.
