At the second restoration site, the interns observed the damage to the land caused by cattle grazing. This is the future site of a wetland and riparian habitat for native water birds, insects and plants as part of a fenced perpetual easement restoration area of the USDA Natural Resources Conservation Service (NRCS) Wetland Reserve Program.
