The final day of week five was spent clearing invasive false kamani (Terminalia catappa) and other weeds that shade out the anchialine ponds at Waikaloa Point. Long-term restoration at this site has been funded by NRCS through the Wildlife Habitat Incentive Program and the USFWS Partners for Fish and Wildlife Program.
