  • After making a moist ball of soil, the students formed a 'ribbon' in order to determine soil composition and texture. The data obtained was used in a computer key called Riparian Plant Restoration to predict the types of plants that could be planted in the restoration sites on Hāna Ranch based on site characteristics.
