After a day of presentation preparation and weeding in the Hāna High and Elementary School Ethnobotanic garden, the interns were ready for an outdoor activity on the second day of the final week of the program. Lead by Patricia Villiarimo-Cockett, Bishop Museum staff and the Conservation Interns hiked through Pua‘a Ka‘a State Park to observe native plant species of the Hāna region.
