Lanai Conservation Internship, 2003

Terrestrial Field Sites:

What did Lanai look like?

  Internship home
The Conservation Internship took the students on several field trips around Lanai. The terrestrial group were fortunate to visit Kanepuu, one of the last remnants of dryland forest in the Hawaiian Islands. A trip to the Lanaihale allowed the students to experience wet forest, and all were involved in the cleanup of a region of a fenced region of Awehi Gulch, maintained by Lanai Institute For the Environment (LIFE).
